Episode 5: The Plan

The day after the events of "Fengyu, the Opulent," Kit wakes up to check on Ko to find out that the salamanta is missing. With Jax's help, they search for Ko in the waters by Yakoya Port. Though they manage to track him down, the two are forced to engage in a traditional dance to convince Ko to go back to the Avatar Mansion with them. 
The pair manages to convince Ko, riding him back to the Avatar Mansion, where they notice the place is again in ruins. They meet Master Rishi who leads them to the infirmary where Ishiko is resting after his duel with Rangi. Kit heals Ishiko with Waterbending, while the rest of the team follows Rangi, Kala, and Zhuan to the dining hall to make a plan, but not before Aoshi slithers away, forcing Tomomi to follow her dragonsnake outside the mansion. 
Zhuan shows the strangers a message they received from a spy within Omashu. They find out that Don Ropolyo has been having an affair with The Omashu Queen in order to secure a male heir for his clan and Omashu. Meanwhile, his wife, Donya Maganda has become a lonely, fragile woman, spending her days within the Repolyo Compound's walls. The group's objective is to steal a jewel on the ring off Don Malakas' finger without alerting the Omashu Guard, an elite group of Earthbenders who specialize in Crystalbending, a rare form of bending that uses Jennamite. Zhuan tells the group that when Jennamite comes in contact with organic matter, it will consume said matter whole until it smothers them to death and they become part of the mineral. 
Zhuan, Rangi, and Kala leave the strangers to arrange their plan to steal the jewel while they arrange plans for another heist. The strangers' current plan is to sneak into the compound and convince Donya Maganda to swap out her husband's ring with a decoy ring that will be forged by Tomomi. They intend to convince her by showing Malakas' affair with the Omashu Queen by using the direct rail system that goes from the compound to the palace. 
The strangers prepare to leave for Omashu the next morning.
