Long ago, a man named Wan fused with the spirit of light, Raava, and become a being henceforth known as the Avatar. This lineage continued for 10,000 years, until the cycle was broken by the spirit of darkness, Vaatu. Fortunately, the then-Avatar Korra was able to amend this with the power of the Harmoic Convergence, beginning a new cycle of Avatars.   Decades passed and Korra's time in this world came to an end. While the Korra was confident she could reincarnate, most of the world remained anxious.   In this new world, with evolving technology and societal tensions rising, the Avatar must traverse foreign territory, and once again bring balance to the world.
