Canta (Kan-tuh)

Found on almost every Saurian planet, though only legal on about half, Canta is the name for the drug found in the Cantis planet, a fairly common organism found on most worlds. Canta has a similar effect on the body as alcohol, though different people can have very different reactions to the drug. Usually it is harmless and just induces a pleasant buzz, the most common reaction making the user unreasonably happy. Due to it being mostly benign, Canta is legal on about half of the worlds in the Saurian Empire. On those where it is not legal there seems to be even more use than on those where it is, creating a black market. This leads to many people protesting for it to be legal empire wide, due both to the added incentive of it being illegal and to the fact that it is harmless in small amounts, though fairly addictive.
