History
It is speculated that status in their culture was determined by the skill with which an individual molded metal, denoted by their skin’s own self imposed markings. This was part of the reason for their eventual downfall, more and more individuals becoming craftsmen, smiths, architects, and artists with none left to actually collect the raw materials or harvest food. This lead to the rise of several different tyrant warlords who sought to deviate from the current system of meritocracy and rule instead via dominance of military prowess. The civil war was incredibly quick and intense, leading to the downfall of their civilization and the following extinction of their race. Many sealed tombs of ornately forged rare metals can be found where Dar’Tendavynn have been buried many many years ago. Sadder, mass graves have also been found where momentous and calamitous battles took place during their civil war with no survivors left to bury.
