Nectar

This amber jelly-like drug is found in the Agobe plant, which is reasonably uncommon in Saurian territory. The plants nectar is used to addict different bugs and animals to it so that they continue to spread its seeds. As such, it is also the most addictive drug known to the Saurians in this galaxy. It induces a very pleasant happy feeling on the user while still allowing them to retain virtually all higher brain functions in addition to tasting quite good. If it wasn’t so addictive it would most likely be legal nationwide. Unfortunately, it is so addictive that it causes people in between fixes to become very aggressive and violent with anyone that comes in between them and the drug, causing it to be banned across the Saurian Empire. A person becomes hopelessly addicted after even one small dose of Nectar, leading the Saurian Internal Inquiry Organization using it as an interrogation technique consisting of giving an individual a high does of it and offering more in exchange for information.
