Tangatua (Tang-uh-too-uh)
Terrain: Tangatua is a lush tropical world of millions of islands and atolls. It averages a temperature of around 80° Fahrenheit at day and 65° at night... it has 2 larger continents as well, Pyrmix and Vortian. Pyrmix is made up of flat plains in the south and large, jungle hills in the north, it also has the largest population density on the planet as well as the capital city of Tau'dex. Vortian is almost completely made up of tropical mountains and rivers, most of the population there lives either low along the rivers or high on the mountain peaks and the sides of the cliffs, Tangatua is the home to over 15,000 different types of fauna many are dangerous predators such as the "Vortian Zetch" a giant lizard like creature reminiscent of a Terran centipede that mostly live along the valleys and rivers of Vortian, intern the river tribes are the toughest fighters on the planet. The Kai build their shelters out of a bamboo like material, in exception for larger more populated cities where normal construction methods are used.
Culture: the culture of the Kai (the natives of Tangatua) is very primitive and tribal, yet advanced... they were cut off from the Walren empire very early in its colonization and due to the small number of colonists and the original xeno natives (the Xor) the Kai adapted to the culture of the Xor embracing their love of the jungle and some of their warrior tendencies such as scalping enemies and tattooing their bodies with swirling patterns and draconic animals. after years of unity the Xor suddenly turned on the Kai and after a long war the Xor were eventually exterminated and the Kai almost extinct. Shortly after, the Walren empire re discovered the world and annexed it but due to its primitive tech and culture and the sudden advances in technology that the Walren showed them, their culture stayed tribal and their technology became advanced now they are some of the fiercest warriors in the galaxy
Military: the Tangan head hunters (the planets regimental name) was officially founded/reformed shortly after the annexation, and due to the low population the soldiers were trained very well as there were very few at any time... the head hunters are often used as scouts and special operations. There is relatively no standard uniform amongst the military as most soldiers modify their fatigues to their liking... removing sleeves, or even completely removing their jackets or armor... some sport helmets and others not. They also like to modify their plas-rifles, the one common item is every Tongan soldier carries a machete.
