2020-01-28 Fight night!
Notes
The Starfellons helped themselves to their own gear while they figure out what is going on. Along with their gear is a magic box which when you put your hand in, your mind is transported into a magical realm of infinite disguises. Within this realm Guardsman Marco, now a grizzled man in his middle-age, is waiting for them. He explains that the monsters of Starfell were ruled by Supreme Leader Virgil Maskas, who runs brutal bloodsports with slaves. The group agrees to help Marco in his plan to take-down the Supreme Leader, while they also fight for their lives in the games.
Each of the players chooses a costume and a heroic persona to avoid having their loved ones used against them in the games.
A succubus called Solemna Songrah, informed them that they were slaves and that Virgil Maskas could kill them using the blue collars. She had Voth the Solicitor on a chain, the man is now bestial and dominated.
Once in the arena the players meet the Victora: Catsnek the Destroyer, Solemna Songrah, Mezmermo the Undefeated, Virgil Maskas, Lady Solestra, Beacon the Armourmancer. Ebenezer Moldon (aka the Grimm Defanse), and Chaox.
Virgil asked each of the Starfellons to introduce themselves. First, to go was Korloth the Betrayer, who was disguised as a Satyr named Puck seeking revenge against King Oberon for some slight.
Next, Nic Snuggins, called themselves Snuggo, a feyish fairy girl, who was here to protect King Oberon.
Guey became Bottom, a man cursed to be a donkey by (you guessed it) King Oberon. Domri took the identity of King Oberon, the curse-wielding king of the fae.
Finally, Alix styled themselves as Philistrate, the Master of Revels.
The first battle was against a single, starving Goblin. Snuggo offered him succor and respite. Only to Snuggo, did the Goblin revealed himself to be Agent Cur and claimed to be working with Marco's rebellion. He gave instructions to have the Starfellons pretend to be defeated by him. However, Domri doesn't understand and kills the poor thing in one fell swoop.
Virgil Maskas, pleased at the carnage, has the Grimm Defanse, send out Owlbears and Bulettes into the ring, but Chaox decides to introduce a couple Manitocres as well. The battle is won by the Starfellons after some struggle.
Next the Black Knight and his mount, a Black Dragon wielding the legendary Sword of Kas named Krieger, attacks the group. During the fight, some of the Starfellons come to realize that they recognize this Black Dragon that once made a business alliance with the Horizon Hunters.
During the battle, Guey recognizes his mother as the Grim Defanse. He confronts her, revealing her true identity to everyone. His mother, Orlon, tried to fire a cannon of radiant energy at her son but cannot bring herself to do it, before falling to the ground, a simpering puddle of terror.
King Oberon brutally injured Krieger in a flurry of attacks. In response, Krieger turned into his Gnomish Humanoid form to better utilize the Sword of Kas. Upon being critically hit with the Sword of Kas, Domri's soul was removed from his body and taken by the sword.
The session ended with the battle still raging.
