A Patiljudi assassin kidnapped the young Benovus in retaliation after his father, King Benovus Pennemir II imposed a strict ruling to ban all Patiljudi from Baralj. Instead of relenting, King Benovus further strengthened the rule by stating that all Patiljudi who did not leave the territory within 5 months would be caught and killed. The assassin killed the prince in rage after learning of this.
