Tyrvan-Jurltar

Tyrvan-Jurltar, meaning "Dwarf-Kingdom", is a kingdom in the Drake Mountains in the eastern lands of Odránidir. It is the only real kingdom of the Dwarfs, with colonies in other areas of the continent.

Structure

Each major city is ruled by a king, with the king of the capital, Dragonrock, being the High-King of the Dwarfs, who is the most powerful leader of the kingdom. All of the other kings obey him, and serve as slightly more powerful lords.

Assets

Each city is (mostly) build into a mountain with a large stone wall with a gate at the entrance. From there, halls and caves descend into the mountain and deep into the earth, where gold and gem mines, forges and fortresses lie and the Dwarfish people reside. Close to the top, they deploy many of their soldiers in case of any sort of attack from enemy forces.

History

Tyrvan-Jurltar was founded in the early Second Era by Vurtauk, the First One, after him and his people were brought to Midstar by Alnirdur and his three sons. The first city, Dragonrock, was not finished until the days of his grandson, Thrangilahf the Great, who was the first official High-King (although many of the Dwarfs hail Vurtauk as the first High-King). He had eight sons, who were Freultraez, Galvrak, Laenfohrd, Scolfeirher, Juldarz, Tyrgilahf, Khurauk and Neirirknov. Seven of them founded the other cities of Tyrvan-Jurltar, and became kings themselves. Freultraez, eldest of the eight, became the next High-King after his father.
