Inferno Turkey

If you plan to put this turkey on your table, I wish you the best of luck.
— Bubba Rez, Zoologist.

Overview

It is one of the most monstrous creations the world will ever know. This turkey appears as a large turkey set ablaze in perpetual raging fire. Said raging fire reaches high into the air and its heat can be felt from a distance. As such, this gobbler will set fire to anything and everything wherever it goes. While just being around it is a risk to life and limb, the inferno turkey can project its wanton destruction through fire breath. It uses this breath to hunt wild animals on the outskirts of the Feu Wood. The sound of demonic clucking as an unfortunate animal is suddenly set ablaze is something that will be forever etched into the mind. On top of everything covered so far, these turkeys travel in large groups, so you will always be outnumbered.

The Source of its Power

If you happen to know what it is, please contact your nearest Archivist. It may help solve the larger mystery surrounding the Feu Wood. Additionally, it may help travelers better prepare for an encounter should they be unfortunate.

Basic Information

Dietary Needs and Habits

It hunts animals just outside of its native wood and presumably the fiery fruit within the woods. It is presumed that because it is constantly on fire, and probably consuming a lot of energy just by virtue of existing, that it consumes large quantities of its chosen meals. We can only surmise just how these turkeys find enough to sustain their population as most things tend to stay away from a burning place out of instinct. One theory posits that there exists some kind of portal to the infernal plane and that monsters emerging through this may be prey for the turkeys. It was never claimed that it was a good theory, but considering the lack of knowledge surrounding the inferno turkey it is as good a guess as any.

Conservation Status
It seems to be doing fine all on its own. At least it appears that way from a distance- where it's safest.

Geographic Distribution
I don't hunt that particular animal. Normal turkeys can be dangerous in large numbers. The Inferno Turkey can melt armor, and only one is needed to do that!
