Ryavellan Akail

Overview

Ryavellan Akail is a skilled Veldren cartographer who travels across Axeram and creates maps for both his own enjoyment and money. He is well regarded as a kind soul who creates maps for both lower and upper-class citizens. However, Ryavellan also has a reputation for getting involved with nobles events, before leaving the next day on a new adventure.

Accomplishments and Failures

Ryavellan is a highly achieved cartographer and adventurer. His most profitable and successful adventures have been his mapping of The Winged Isles and the west coast of Dralindur. He has received praise for remapping areas previously done and improving their copies.
His biggest failure is the expedition to northeastern Valothmir. It is a topic of conversation that people know to avoid. The only adventure of Ryavellon Akail that has never been spoken, Nor has another expedition to the area ever been planned. He's had smaller failures since. His first attempt at the winged isles ended up with himself and the ship fleeing on a sinking ship. The west coast of Dralindur was also supposed to only be a year-long trip but due to complications became a three-year journey. Many at court even thought he had met an end til he showed up at the next party.

History

Whilst not much is known about his early years he first met fame in 1500 M.E when he survived the mapping expedition into the northeast of Valothmir with his brother, Halcedion Akail. Since then he has adventured around all of Axeram making high-quality maps. Due to his magnetic personality, he quickly found himself within important circles across the world who all wanted to hear the adventures of Ryavellan. People quickly forgot about his brother as he was never seen with Ryavellan since the expedition.
