Axonus

A large continent ruled by six houses, six kingdoms of magic. Each specializes in certain aspects. Before the six houses, those lacking in magical abilities were seen as equals. Working alongside those with supernatural abilities. That was until the Uprising of Zrewal. The land of the shamans was decimated by the physical capabilities of the Paladins, Fighters, Barbarians, and Artificers. As the other lands saw the fall of the Shamans leaving but a small population of them. The once lush and gorgeous land of the Shamans was turned into a barren wasteland of sand and rocks. Thus began the rise of the Houses. The Six houses each being led by a family presumed to have the most magical prowess. Martial classes and those born without magical abilities were now seen as lesser. Sentenced to lives of servitude and imprisonment by the houses.   As years went on the split between societal classes grew. Martial classes are seen as lesser than and living in lives of squalor for generations. The only gleaming hope was to be taken to Halfdon Academy to work the grounds of the glorious academy that rose from the earth that was once the Shaman's land. The six houses represent one of each kingdom of magical abilities. Though as time continued on fewer and fewer of those with Shaman abilities were found until eventually it became known as The Lost House. The Sixth house forever became empty as the other houses flourished and thrived.   Though was the fall of Shamans truly that of the Martial classes? Did the brutal behavior of those wrecked with jealously for their lack of abilities bring the downfall of what was seen as the most powerful house? Though history is written as such and the shamans supposedly eradicated only the young students will be able to unlock the secrets of the Sixth House.
