They are a haunting and unnerving figure. Standing unnaturally tall, this faceless figure is draped in an ever-shifting cloak of shadow. Naturally, its most defining feature is the singular glowing eye in the centre of its chest. The eye pulses with a sinister, malevolent light that is mesmerising and terrifying.
Abilities & Behaviour
The Hollow Watcher's eye is capable of instilling crippling fear into any that catch its gaze. The longer a person looks into the eye, the more disorientated they become, pushing them towards madness with every second that passes. Once a trespasser is marked by the Watcher, it will pursue them relentlessly until they are dead or have left the vicinity. Even if the target survives, the lingering madness may lead to a lifetime of paranoia that the Watcher is out there... watching. The eye is said to hold the memories of all those that have fallen victim to it, and some believe that the Watcher gains strength from the each memorie it has consumed, growing more powerful with each victim.
Origin
Unsurprisingly, the origin of The Hollow Watcher, if it is indeed real at all, is shrouded in mystery. Some believe it can be summoned to guard their treasures and secrets, others believe is it naturally drawn to latent power in the world and guards it subconsciously, even turning on the people who put the artifacts or whatever it may be protecting as well.
