The Justor Trading Company is currently headed by Etta Maxime, the eldest daughter of Arman Justor, who founded the company twenty years ago. Etta assumed control of the company very recently in an incident that resulted in Arman's imprisonment or death - his status is currently unknown. Etta is also the head of The Sisters of the Sea, a band of fearsome pirates - primarily female - that she created in response to her father's refusal to let her sail. Her return, with a band of adventurers and the resulting conflict with her father, is shrouded in mystery. All that's truly known is that it took place at the Earl Mikarl Yolassi's residence.
This transition naturally leaves the company in a state of flux. The Justor Trading Company was regarded as the largest of its kind in Brinewatch prior to Arman's downfall. Whether or not Etta can retain that status remains to be seen but she does arrive with not only the company's remaining resources but also The Sisters'. What may take longer to repair is the company's reputation as when Arman was killed/removed, those suffering with Dockworker's Disease, which was up to that point thought to be incurable. Seemingly, Arman Justor was somehow connected to the disease.

History

The Justor Trading Company was founded in 551 PC by Arman Justor. In the wake of the implosion of the Talder Trading Group due to the unfortunate series of incidents that befell the Talder brothers, multiple trading companies sprang up to fill the power vacuum. Arman Justor's quickly led the way and absorbed all the other new challengers - the existing rivals persisted. Within two years, The Justor Trading Company held as much sway as the other three leading companies.
The Company continued to grow in stature and had a considerable edge on the other three competitors until 579 PC, when Etta ran away one night and fled on one of Arman's ships with her first band of female sailors. Her resulting attacks on other Justor vessels immediately after rocked the Company until The Sisters' targets spread to any vessel.
