Artisan Tool
Common
These special tools include the items needed to pursue a craft or trade. Proficiency with a set of artisan's tools lets you add your proficiency bonus to any ability checks you make using the tools in your craft. Each type of artisan's tools requires a separate proficiency.
While a cook is among the most useful types of non-combat jobs on the battlefield, a competent butcher is just as prized for adventuring parties. While most adventurers can bring back the proof of their victory, without someone skilled with their knife the carcass won't be of much use.
Components. Butcher's Knife Set include multiple knives, a whetstone and a sharpening bar, a small bone saw and a tool for eye-removal.
Inspection. Your knowledge of butchering techniques allows you to assess both the causes of death and what treatments were administered to a body.
Medicine. You can easily assess basic injuries and ailments and can treat most wounds from the battlefield.
Survival. When harvesting a carcass, you can bring at least 1.5 times more food out of it than ordinary folks and will bring the best materials out of anything you've been able to dissect in the past.
Intuitive Tool. Anyone can use these tools, thanks to how close it is to everyday tools and weapons. But only someone with training will be able to use it effectively. As such, someone without proficiency in Butcher's Knife Set can use it but will do so with a malus equal to their Proficiency Bonus. This is due to fallacies from the habit of using other tools, such as weapons or cutlery.
