The Fleece Around the Horns

A short story revolving around a demon that unwittingly befriends a sheep and the adventures that they go on.   The moral of the story is timeless, best told as not to judge a book by its cover and that friendships can occur in the most unlikely of places.
"Wake up. Wake up, there's still so much more to do. Much more fun to have." The sheep bleated, nudging the shoulder of the demon who laid upon the grassy knoll.   "Come now, can't we rest just a while longer? This sun is perfect for a nap."   Yet the sheep turned, facing the opposite side of the hill, the one from which the village billowed below, caught in a sea of waving flames reflecting in its glassy, marble like eyes. Unflinching, the animal stared, "Not until every house is burned, every man, woman and child turned to cinder, and every dream bathed in a sea of humiliating ash."   The arm of the demon eased itself around the neckline of its companion, lazy laughter on its breath, "Oh Sheep, you say the funniest things. Let's go, my friend...There's still lots to do."

I must have more. To deny the world of such things is a crime against humanity. It nust happen there are at least 24 pages I must read! Love the idea.
