Nakoma Mizzit was raised in a small town run by a cruel but fair, Roger Kane the leader of the town. This town had outlawed slavery but was fully rooted in indentured servitude. After Roger’s death, his son Brutus takes over the town.
The town gets together to buy their freedom collectively. Brutus seems hesitant, but after many years of crowdfunding, he agrees to meet the town to discuss terms. Nakoma misses this meeting since they are helping a neighbor by standing guard against recent killings of livestock.
Nakoma is alerted to an issue when they hear screaming and see fire from town. Nakoma comes into the square to find Brutus has trapped and burned the town alive to keep their collective gold.
Nakoma sends one arrow through each eye of brutus and turns themselves into the authorities in the next town.
