Azos A world reborn in blood and iron

A new age is dawning in the world of Azos. Gone are the dark times of barbarism and ignorance, and in its place has risen a new age: an age of steel, empires, gunpowder and revolutions. The miraculous advent of the airship has signaled the beginnings of a technological golden age as man comes to rely not on the guidance of the gods but on his own wit and ingenuity. However, it has also lead the world down a dangerously militant path as the great powers of Azos vie for supremacy amongst each other, casting aside whatever and whoever is in their way to achieve their ambitions.   Adventurers: once a hallmark of the wider society of the world, are now a dying breed as it grows ever-smaller, and less in need of small bands of heroes to solve their issues in a tamer and more civilised time. Despite this, ruinous forces both from within and without seek to disturb the fragile peace of the world to further their own nefarious ends.   As the sun rises on the 1247th year of the Heroic Age and the old world gives way to the new, Azos's future remains uncertain. What is known however, is that it will never be the same ever again, for better or for worse.
