Current Month: Julwar 2nd: 209, The Fifth Age
Bovigors are bull or ox-headed humanoids with cattle horns. They are also bullheaded in their nature, being very competitive and prizing brute power over any form of subtlety. Though they are usually less intelligent than their Ungor cousins, they are unnaturally strong and powerful, and make formidable warriors. Originally created as a "Weapons Race" for the Tremalking Empire, they eventually rebelled, fleeing into the wilds of the world, requiring the Tremalking Empire to replace their depleted legions with a new weapons race, the Scranc. Eventually, the Minotaur race evolved into two distinct species, the Bullish Bovigor, and the humanish Ungor. They can now be found throughout the world, but mostly within the tribal confines of the Vaskerry Wilds. Some found their way into the service of the god Domination, revering him as a god of the sun. Many still do to this day.   Creation   The Minotaur as a race was due to the meddling of Tremalking Mutation mages. Having learned much from the Vanir in terms of magic, science, and creation before betraying them, the mages took slaves and captives from their conquests and slowly mutated their forms. requiring a warrior both fierce and obedient, they were imbued with the essence of the bull, becoming the first bovigor. From then on until their rebellion nearly a thousand years later, any Tremalking army was lined with Minotaur warriors. They became so essential to Tremalking dominance that the bulls head is still associated with the Empires successor states, the old Melentine Empire, and the New Melentine Empire.
