Some say gromril comes from the heart of the The Twin Titans themselves, others say it steams from the center of the world, slowly making its way to the surface over the eons. Whatever the case, no metal is as valuable as gromril.
Gromril is the hardest metal in the world, and one of the rarest. Nearly impenetrable from weapons wrought of lesser ores, heavy, and lasts nearly forever, it also has the capability of absorbing enchantments of any school of magic extraordinarily easily, making it valuable for the construction of all sorts of magical items. Anyone who can find a vein of this precious material would find themselves instantly a rich, that is, unless someone cuts their throat for it first.
Due to the endurance of Gromril, only a few people in the world possess the capability of working this material, and even then, some things just cant be done with it; youll never find a chainmail shirt made of gromril, but plate is workable.
