Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Irithiel stands about 6 feet tall, slender, with elegant features and fair complexion. Long silvery hair with slight blue undertones, and fey-like ears. Eyes are a piercing blue with tiny gold flecks throughout. She wears a long, hooded cloak, typically over one shoulder in a half-cape fashion exposing the well-tailored outfit beneath. To the keen eye, the corner of a small tome can be seen under her arm on her cloaked side, but this is hidden and unseen to those not knowing where to look. Often accompanied by an owl, or a cat, she spends most of her days reading anything she can get her hands on, studying arcane equations & trying to further her skills as a Mage.

Special abilities

Some days, depending on her mood, minute amounts of frost can be found accumulating around her extremities and along the tips of her hair. Other days, she will have a warm, rosey complexion with brightly colored hair and tiny dew-dropped flowers strewn throughout. Like others in her family, Irithiel can change her appearance based on whichever season she most closely associates with at the time. Winter will manifest with her usual Silver hair and frost, while Summer might yield fiery red hair and warm skin tones.

Personal history

Irithiel grew up on the Craftworld of Alon-Aloc. Her people fled the Eladrin homeworld centuries prior after its destruction, and they have drifted in the void ever since. The Elves broke off into many different branches, some landing in areas of Azure and others inhabiting other Darkship Craftworlds. Irithiel's drew together the many Arcane practitioners and magically inclined; those who wanted nothing more than to observe the wonders of the universe and to study its secrets. Although quite young, she still remembers hearing the terrible stories of the chaos wrought by the 2nd Fall. Thousands upon thousands lost in the realms below. With Alon-Aloc being, uniquely, mainly inhabited by arcane wielders, many requests for assistance came and many a trade vessel passed through for supplies. Irithiel's parents were in high government standing and provided a closer than average view of the goings-ons with the war efforts. Stories were what captivated her most. She would often overhear tales brought home about monsters made of black glass with glowing blue eyes, and powerful Mages, some so powerful they could transform flesh into bronze with only a thought. Entranced, she began her obsession with the the arcane, devoured every book she could get her hands on & relished in the words of her instructors.

Education

She was a reserved child, enjoying reading and practicing spells. She also loved to sketch and paint the things she saw around her. Attending school at a top level institute, she honed her skills and picked up a few new ones along the way. Irithiel possessed a great talent for deciphering formulas and equations, & even began developing several of her own spells. Mostly for utility purposes but a few that she hopes will resolve some of her unanswered questions.

Employment

After years of studious training she began apprenticeship with The Order of Magi, a Faction of Wizards who travel from realm to realm observing and documenting anything and everything for the sake of furthering Alon-Aloc's collective knowledge. Even the smallest bit of information can prove to be powerful when utilized correctly. Early on, she was taught that too many people are far too willing to abuse knowledge and magic for the sake of personal gain. Any misuse of the arcane is met with swift opposition, to restore balance and prevent cataclysmic events from occurring. When she gained enough merit within The Order, she was assigned a realm to continue their work and further her research. She found that the best way to see more of the world was through adventuring and lending her skills for hire. Throughout her travels, she met up with a band of mercenaries that proved to be most capable and they have become some of her closest companions.
