A Marche is the term used for the Dwarves city-states commonly found in the mountain range referred to as the Dwarves Marches. Once a great empire before the third age, they fragmented into the separate political entities commonly known to the outside world to this day.   Known Marches Akanvor - A Marche ruined by the Red Dragon Ancalax the Younger Fire, was contested by the Pit Fiend Ishamael, both were defeated by the Greater Restorers, and has been resettled by its original survivors.   Three Peaks - Three separate but closely located Marches that found common cause and politically are one entity, ruled by council.   Ogrenmar   Bwunnamar - Deep Dwarves   Bor Kazzan - one of only two Dwarvish ports in the entirety of the world, was originally landlocked like most Marches before the Second Fall. it is located close to New Meklagard and its rulers, the Trase Amigos.   Inon Zur - the northern of the two dwarfish ports, located on the Lesser Gap near Senderfall.   Dun Ergast - usually keeps to themselves but still welcomes travelers   Harrokivar - Marche of the Duager Dwarves, still located deep in the Ways.   Ironfist - an expansionist Marche that often goes to wars with neighboring Marches   Amgarrak - Isolationists, refuses travellers   Hammerfall - the most famous of the Marches, was the home Marche of the new god Orsick, the Werebreaker. Their elite fighting force is known as the Forlorn Hope.   Kirazz Kon Zuran - The highest Marche in the world, located on the slopes of Evermore, the tallest mountain in the world.   Hiran Var - An unusual Marche located in the foothills of the Dwarven Marches.   Dwali-kon-Gnomen - A Marche known for its equal population of dwarves and gnomes, it is the newest Marche baring Akanvors resettling. Originally founded by dwarfish and gnomish survivors who found themselves outside their fortresses during the Second Fall.
