Frightened

  • A frightened creature has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while the source of its fear is within line of sight.
  • The creature can't willingly move closer to the source of its fear.
If a creature fails a saving throw by less than half the required amount (eg. The DC of the save was 16, but they rolled an 8 or less) they must spend their next turn running away from the source of their fear on their next turn. At the end of their next turn they can ignore this effect and use the regular frightened conditions until they overcome their fear.
