Galabn Desert

Covering much of Abn'Tuzz, this arid region appears inhospitable to visitors. But the desert holds secrets within it, if one is brave enough to look. A thriving low-moisture ecosystem persists near underground rivers and aquifers, and deep canyons allow cool, damp places to exist. The land itself holds great treasures as well: gold, bauxite, and even oil are in abundance. Though Union technology utilizes fusion power heavily, oil reserves allow access to cheap, easily constructed power stations in case of a shortage of fuel for those machines.
