New Thaska

On the southeastern shore of Abn'Tuzz, in a sheltered harbor at the mouth of the continent's largest river, lies what was once a shining jewel: the city of New Thaska. Set up by the Judari Empire as a from-the-ground-up project to construct a capital for this world, New Thaska was a beautiful city, with wide, gleaming thoroughfares, towering architecture, and efficiently laid out administrative districts.
It's status as capital of Holtan lasted twenty years. During the Caldaraan Revolts, the city was bombarded, and an imperial nuclear power plant was destroyed, spewing radioactive dust over the whole city. Millions died, and the area remained uninhabitable for centuries. Only since the ascendancy of House Vi'Saan has this ancient graveyard begun to be excavated, and rebuilt into a modern port city. It remains largely a frontier town, ruled by a motley collection of local gang bosses, corporate middle managers, and workers' unions.
