The Thirteen Colonies

The first orbital colonies were initially founded by Akos Ri around 4235U. Over time, the number grew to thirteen. While each colony is self-contained to a certain extent, they each specialize in something, usually with a robust education system supporting.

Ophius

The oldest and largest colony where the space elevator on Akosi connects to. It is the orbital hub for trade, both domestic and interstellar.

Aeri

The second largest colony focuses almost entirely on military personnel and the training of them.

Akwar

The center for all oribital civil governance and legal matters. The univesity here is the best law school in the Ju'Ri. It also boasts excellent programs for all other civil services and social work.

Caprie

The financial district. It's a small colony but it hosts the Republic's financial markets and many banks. It's School of Finance is second to none (at least they think so).

Tarun

Focused on practical matters, Tarun is a hub for trades education and construction. If any colony needs serious work done, it's usually a Tarun tradesman getting it done.

Kantair

The colony focused on all things medical. While all of the Republic has access to local care, Kantair is the top of the line for every difficult ailment known to man. And of course, it boasts excellent educational opportunities for the entire breadth of the medical field and research.

Leeno

While Aeri trains the military personnel, Leeno builds everything those personnel could possibly use. It also has a major research and development focused school.

Jemeye

While most colonies focus inward, Jemeye focuses on the outward. It is a center for foreign affairs. It boasts many beautiful embassies and is situated close to Akwar and Ophius both.

Virge

While other colonies have their universities focus on very specific research, Virge is for everything else. It prides itself on often being the bridge between disciplines, often vital in furthering every other field's work.

Pisco

The glitziest, most glamorous of the colonies, Pisco found its focus as the center for all things culture. The location of the best schools for both the visual and performing arts, its industry is dedicated to keeping Ju'Ri entertained and beautiful.

Libre

The more serious minded sister colony to Pisco, Libre is the home to the Republic's journalism and writing schools. Ju'Ri's best writers and philosophers often come from Libre, as do many politicians. While Pisco produces media to entertain, Libre produces media to inform and elevate discourse. Or so it intends.

Saggit

The center for all things ship. Home to the Republic's shipyards, Skaggit builds and repairs everything from the smallest civilian shuttles to the biggest war ships. And then they train the crews for each as well.

Skorrio

The smallest but flashiest colony, Skorrio is the home to a pair of elite academies for pilots, the best of the best. One school is focused on younger (or richer) prodigies from across Holtan. The other is for the Republic's elite forces. The first school also serves as a testing ground for designs. They pit the best against each other to further the in-battle tactics and they often broadcast the tournaments as a form of entertainment.
