Whether between snickers in the corner or smug looks shot across the room, you might detect some... cynicism, when speaking of Violan guards. It's a respected school certainly, it's simply their training methods are considered unorthodox by some. Most.
There is perhaps no man more responsible for this stereotype, than Reggy Sakura. A scrawny, knock kneed human with burning red hair and a childish complexion He was a karate master... apparently. Atomic Karate, he claims, is the ancient art of "making your fists blow the fuck up." It's a dangerous art, and one he can only access in situations of extreme danger. If you were to ask Head Master White, she'd calm politely "the situations were as dangerous as possible within sane reasoning." If you were to ask his mother, she'd regale you with her many heroic stories when Reggy had saved his family using only "his fists of nuclear fury."
In case you were wondering, no; Nuclear power or anything of an atomic nature was not a part of Terran science. It never was either, Reggy literally made it up.
His class mates claim to have never once seen Reggy pull of any remarkable stunt. In fact most believe him to be unfocused. But Reggy, his mother and Heather White remain adamant that Reggy has tremendous power but only... when he like really needs it.

Of all Reggy's claims, the most preposterous is his "special move."
The story goes that when Reggy was but 3 years old, he did a drop kick so "freaking rad" that his mother realized his focus: Karate. Yet, Reggy could not repeat the "wicked drop kick" for the next several years. It seemed a remarkable fluke had occured. Downhearted, Reggy abandoned the atomic arts, growing up as a normal geeky kid until he was 9. After watching his friends find their focus, Reggy grew frustrated and tried, for the first time in years, his Nuclear Drop Kick 2000.
It worked. Allegedly. A blast exploded through his feet strong enough to blow his bedroom wall down. Not his normal bed room wall down, that's... that ones fine it was his holiday house. That he definitely has. Down the coast.
In any case, Reggy realized the inner workings of his greatest weapon. The longer he refused to execute the Nuclear Drop 3000, the more powerful it will become. Many have asked to see this move, but unfortunately the issue is more complicated. Reggy only mentioned this special move in his final year of education. Meaning he had gone some 16 years without using his special move once. He feared it would be too powerful, a blast strong enough to destroy a nation, if he were to use it now. Though, to follow that logic further, his special move would remain unused making it only more dangerous and therefore unusable.
And so here we stand. Reggy, claiming to have a special move that grows powerful without use and thus is so powerful it cannot be used. This has earnt Reggy the unfortunate name of Conner. As in the verb.
