Black Iris

Public Agenda

Since Queen Stephana Katheryne Marion was leading the country carelessly and forcing heavy fines on the citizens, the Black Iris decided to take action to change her way of ruling through peaceful protests. Eventually, the mission changed to violence and the Black Iris wanted to assassinate the Queen and put the Crown Prince on the throne in hopes that he would make a better ruler.

History

September 1745: Three men (Ellis Reginald, Victor Pask, and Luce Berwald) met in a park to discuss the current monarchy. At the end of the meeting, they had decided to do something about it and formed the revolutionary organisation, the Black Iris.   September - December 1745: They recruited many people from the working class and middle class through leaflets and flyers. They found that many people were sympathetic to their cause.   January 1746: They recruited a group of people who were not interested in being gaining numbers and peaceful protest. They wanted to go to war and put the Crown Prince on the throne. They were able to sway the people's priorities and set to work on training.   February 1746: A group of school students were recruited; Marcel Ermen, Blythe Rise, Fian Isnard, Adaly Laurel, and Theodoric Holm. They were key players in informing the upper class about the organisation and earning their support.   February - June 1746: The members of the Black Iris were trained.   July 1746: Word of the organisation reached the Queen. She took action against the Black Iris and made examples of many members through public executions. Both Ellis Reginald and Luce Berwald were executed. The school students who were recruited earlier continued to recruit new members who were now aware of the organisation and their mission. They contacted working class members of the Black Iris for help. They continued the training they had underwent.   August 1746: Young students were executed at random to show the public that the monarch has all the power. Among the executed was Adaly Laurel who gave a driving speech until she was silenced by an axe. This encouraged people to seek the Black Iris and take action against the unfair Queen.   November 1746: The Black Iris had regained their strength and took action to invade the castle and assassinate the Queen. The mission failed.   January 1747: The Black Iris took action to recruit more members and inform the Crown Prince of their goal. They were able to make strong alliances with members of the upper class and nobles.   May 1747: The Black Iris declared war and managed to overthrow the royal forces and assassinate the Queen.
