Fire Lilith
Liliths are small, mischievous creatures. The word 'lilith' literally means demon. There are four types of liliths; air, fire, earth, and water.
The fire lilith is the most dangerous of the four.
They used to be peaceful, but then the High Phoenix"> died, and they went rogue. Since, she was not there to keep them in control, they started acting dangerous and destructive.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Like all liliths, the fire lilith has a small human-like frame. They have delicate wings that are long, narrow and tapered. They have wings that are similar to the wings of a Mantze's hummingbird. The shoulder and elbow joints of these creatures are relatively close to their bodies and this allows them to pivot and tilt in the air. Their wings are a shiny but light gold colour that reflects light and shimmers. All of them have black or dark brown hair. Their skin is high in melanin. Their facial features can be described by impish or sneaky.
Ecology and Habitats
These creatures live in areas with high volcanic activity or seismic activity.
When their ancestors settled in volcanic areas, they didn't have any magical abilities. The High Phoenix"> gifted them fire-powers so they were able to produce fire through their bodies.
All of their body parts such as their wings, skin and hair are fire-proof. Initially, when they gained their powers, they didn't have fire-proof hair and wings. They weaved protective clothing out of easton marigold leaves and strands of phoenix feathers. Eventually, their bodies adapted to their surroundings and their powers.
For fire liliths living in volcanic areas, their bodies also adapted by gaining camouflage. Their hair is dark brown or black and this helps them to hide from predators. Their skin is also dark because it is high in melanin.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Fire liliths are carnivorous, they eat insects and small birds.
Fire liliths that live near the ocean have adapted to eat different food. They feast on baby turtles and small crabs that are on the beach.
They usually hunt individually. But sometimes parents hunt together to get food for their babies.
Behaviour
The fire lilith is a mischievous and destructive species.
If a flock of fire liliths settle near civilisation, they often terrorise the residents by setting fire to anything and everything. General havoc also ensues because they steal things and move objects to different locations. They have a preference for shiny or dark-coloured objects.
There has been more than one instance when the fire lilith has killed beings. Often, when they fly close to civilisation, annoyed beings will swat them away like flies. Fire liliths hold grudges. They can barricade beings inside their houses or rooms and set fire to it, so the beings die inside. Sometimes, it's the being's baby who dies, or the whole family.
Fire liliths that live far away from civilisation go 'play-hunting' in groups. 'Play-hunting' is a cruel game that they play where they catch birds or small mammals and set fire to their wings, feathers or tail. Often the poor animal dies. Sometimes, fire liliths eat the burnt remains, otherwise, they leave the charred corpses.
Fire liliths are known to be arsonists, serial killers and torturers.
Additional Information
Uses, Products & Exploitation
During wars, some beings attempted to use these liliths and exploit their powers. Very few managed to capture the fire liliths. The liliths that were imprisoned eventually escaped by using their fire powers and wreaking havoc in their prisons.

How delightfully creepy. I love how you developed their evolutionary traits, like diet and appearance from their enviornment.
Thank you!
