Eclipsion Clash

In the early days, the sport of Celestial Ball began as a beautiful homage to the celestial bodies, particularly the moons Luminara and Umbra, which played a significant role in the realm's culture. The game was an artful expression of unity and celebration.   The sport was played on grand open fields under the radiant moonlight. Two teams, one representing Luminara and the other Umbra, would compete with the goal of propelling a radiant ball into the opponent's goal. The ball, infused with celestial magic, would shine brilliantly under the moonlight, adding a sense of wonder and mystique to the game. The sport was known for its grace, agility, and strategy, and its players were celebrated as celestial athletes.   However, when the Order of Suppression ascended to power and aimed to control the masses, they saw the potential of Celestial Ball. They transformed it into a violent and aggressive spectacle, mirroring the brutal tactics they used to maintain their control over the realm. The game's name was changed to "Eclipsion Clash," symbolizing the dark shadow the Order had cast over Baison.   Eclipsion Clash became a brutal form of fantasy football. Players were no longer called athletes but warriors, and they wore brutal armor and wielded secret weapons as they clashed on the field. The goal was changed to get the ball into the opponent's endzone, and it was now a violent, combat-laden affair.   The magical ball's enchantment was removed, changing from radiance and replacing it with spike covered leather ball. The once-unifying spirit of the game was turned into a spectacle of chaos and carnage, with players often injuring or eliminating their rivals to ensure victory.   Spectators were drawn to the brutality and the spectacle of Eclipsion Clash. The Order used this modified sport as a means of diverting the population's attention from their oppressive rule while simultaneously normalizing violence and cruelty. What was once a beautiful tribute to the celestial bodies had been tarnished and used as a tool for the Order of Suppression's control over the realm.
