Ocasta Sorcery is a unique form of blood sorcery pioneered and practiced by the
Ocasta . It is learnable and usable by no other Bloodline or Clan, and is completely unique to the protectors of the Ani-Yunwiya.

Level 1
Water into Blood
Cost: Free
Once per night, the Ocasta can turn water into blood to drink. Water has always been sacred to the Cherokee, and this is no different for the Ocasta. They may turn any amount of water into 2 Hunger worth of Blood. The amount may never exceed 2 Hunger, and this power may only be used once per night. Cannot be used to go to Hunger 0.
Shelter of Galun’lati
Cost: 1 Rouse
The Ocasta may meld with any part of the natural world in order to sleep safe for the day. This can be a tree, a rock, the water of a river. It does not matter, so long as the object is completely natural. The Ocasta places their hand upon the object, and calls upon their Blood, merging with the object. The Ocasta is immune to sunlight while merged, but if the object they are inhabiting is destroyed, they are also destroyed.
Level 2
Medicine of Ocasta
Cost: 1 Rouse
Medicine is important in Cherokee life, and the wellness of a person is central to their state of being. Ocasta are naturally attuned to medicine, and thus can help to improve the wellness of others. The Ocasta lays hands on the target, and rolls Intelligence + Ocasta Sorc vs 3. Number of successes is the amount of Superficial damage healed. This power works on the user.
Level 3
Withering of Galonugeshi
Cost: 1 Rouse
Ocasta are infamous for their ability to curse at a distance. The Ocasta must be within visual distance of the target, and they point at them with the forefinger and the pinky. The target is afflicted with the Withering. Roll Intel + Ocasta Sorc vs the target’s Stamina + Resolve. On success, the target takes Bane Severity in Superficial damage for a duration equal to the number of successes rolled. The target also loses their Attributes at a rate of -1 per turn; this effect is not permanent, and Attributes are restored at the end of the Withering.
Wings of the Great Buzzard
Cost: 1 Rouse
Ocasta are tied to the Great Buzzard, who flew over creation at the dawn of time. They have the ability to ride the wind of the Buzzard’s wings for a short distance. The Ocasta can use this ability to glide to a height or distance equal to their Ocasta Sorc, ten meters for every dot. This number includes your Power Bonus.
Level 4
Potency of Selu
Cost: 1 Rouse
Ocasta can increase the potency of their Blood to increase its viability in others. Upon activating this power, the next drink someone takes from you counts as two levels of Bond. For example, if the target has never drank from you before, if they do so after using this power they will be Bond lvl 2.
Level 5
Shield of the Stonecoat
Cost: 1 Rouse
Duration: 1 Scene
Ocasta are incredibly hard to kill, rivaling even their hated enemies the Venture. This power has the potential to allow Ocasta to survive even Uktena attacks. The Ocasta smears some of their own blood on their forehead, then rolls Stamina + Ocasta Sorc. Every success adds to their Soak for the duration of the scene.
Vigilance of Tears
Cost: 2 Rouse
Ocasta were betrayed once, and they have never forgotten the affront. They developed a piece of blood magic since that helps them to ensure this never happens again. If the target uses Vigilance of Tears before resting for the night then they remain fully aware for the passage of the day. The Ocasta must still rest as if dead, but their mind remains aware. The Ocasta may awaken at any time, like if someone comes close. Spend a Willpower for each hour the Ocasta wishes to remain active. This power does not prevent damage from the sun.
