Knee Biters

gobling trading caravan   In charge of running the human-goblin route they are feared by everybody along the route. Perhaps they get a little too roudy in the taverns with their human size dproportions but the main point of contention is the tough deals made at the trade table.   They demand more than fair value for their items but the trade agreement made to end Latrium's Failure requires that trade routes roll. If deals aren't finalized it could be viewed as a breach and no towm, especially those close to goblin lands to be responsible for that.   The mayors of the individual towns cover the trade losses but this has put a strain on their economies. Still, better than being put to the sword.   As for the Knee Biters's business, they are based from CAPTITAL CITY and restock their items from there. They export items found in the The World Spine and import food. Lots of food. Beer too. They like the carbonation.   The Knee Biters drive such a hard bargain because they provide items that can be found nowhere else. Magic items with unusual properties. Nothing world shattering, mind you, but unique abilities whose recipe to forge them has been lost to time.   Their further plans are to act as the intermediate between humans and dwarves, thought the latter can be difficult to persude to open their large doors. They know time is of the essence since the larger human factions are also trying to reestablish trade with the dwarves as well.   Unfortantely, goblins and dwarves have never really seen eye-to-eye. Well height wise they have. But I meant more about their approach to life. Goblins run wild and free on the surface while dwarves dig deep and serious. This puts the Knee Biters at a disadvantage in making a meaningful connection and convincing the dwarves to open their doors for trade.
