Character Creation Feats
In this campaign, all characters may take one feat from the list below upon character creation. These are meant to provide your characters with slightly more power and/or utility than one normally sees in fledgling adventurers. Ideally, there would be an aspect of your backstory or personality that explains why your character has this feat, but this isn't mandatory. I have curated this list and modified some of these feats to provide options that I believe combine fun and function while remaining somewhat similar in power. If a player has to make a new character, they will also be entitled to one feat from this list, subject to the same modifications as before. Having looked over some feat tier lists (S through D), I decided to include all C and D feats, as well as all B half-feats (since they're missing their ASI). This was done via consensus of those lists, so opinions obviously differ. If you think you think a feat that isn't on this list should be included, talk to me. But so help me if you try to argue how your character's backstory totally justifies having the Sharpshooter feat at level 1. Please double-check your feat against PHB errata here to ensure you're getting what you intended.
General Modifications: All feats that normally include a +1 ASI do not provide this benefit if taken at character creation. Should anyone wish to take one of these feats outside of this context, they receive all of that feat's benefits at that time.
