Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of a long-standing castle. A pale figure stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves about them, billowing their cape in the darkness.
Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white light across them. The figure turns to the sky, they have a look of power—and of madness, contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself.
Trapped like flies in a web, five unlikely companions find themselves in a strange land shrouded in darkness and sorrow. Will they make it out unscathed? Will their souls be forever scarred by the people and happenings of this dreary land? They are, after all, pieces on the board, and the game has just begun...
