Kerym is a half-elf wandering minstrel traveling the lands to leave his troubled past and to start anew. Born into human nobility, Kerym enjoyed a life of luxury compared to many living within the walls of House Le Blanc. However, his father was often a brutal reminder of how birthright has no meaning when facing cruelty. Growing up, Kerym was berated and abused by his father for just about anything; whether it was for behavior, stature, or even thinking in a certain way. His mother on the other hand, he has very little recollection of, having gone missing shortly after his birth. His upbringing would eventually find him building a secret plan to escape his imprisonment.
Following Kerym's 20th birthday, he followed through with his plan. During the festivities, he escaped into the night, bringing only his training equipment, his favorite instrument, and what ever coins he had saved up. It has since been 5 years when he left home, traveling town to town, performing in various inns to receive free lodging and food. Kerym often keeps his noble past a secret, even omitting his last name to avoid others from drawing suspicion. Although his new life is much less luxurious, this gift of freedom has brought him more happiness than anything that money or power could buy.
