Barovia, Country

Barovia, the land of mists, was once a beautiful land like any other. But that changed centuries ago, when the Devil Strahd came to the land. nobody knows why he came, or what he wants, some speculate that he is punishment sent by the gods for some long forgotten sin, but the gods have long since abandoned them.

Demographics

Most who live in the valley are simply Barovian, though wandering caravans of Vistani people also live in the land.

Infrastructure

The towns and villages of Barovia are hollow shells of what the once were, many houses have fallen into a state of inhospitable disrepair, and those that haven't are mostly empty, or worse, filled with evil creatures brought to the land by the dark magic of the Devil Strahd. Because of this little infrastructure remains, and that which does is barely held together.
