Castle Korstull

Castle Korstull sits upon a valley in the Tylon mountain range, it's great skull faced keep overlooking the old road from Throal to Kratas, it's many rings of defences protecting the land for leagues around.
No-one knows who originally built the keep, or if it is indeed the remains of a fallen titan, But in the years before the scourge the Theran Empire built the outer defences and housed much of their local legion there. It was from Korstull the Theran armies marched when Throal rebelled and it was to Korstull the prisoners were taken when Throal was defeated. To the Dwarves of Barsaive Korstull has a black name, such that after the scourge the Pathfinders of Throal avoided the place and no effort was made to reopen the road to Kratas, instead preferring the longer trip braving the dangers of the Servos jungle than the passage under the shadow of Castle Korstul.
In more recent times the Theran Empire returning to Barsaive has rebuilt Korstull and Prince Drakus is currently using it as his Palace and a mustering point for his Legion.

Purpose / Function

Korstull was originally built to guard the road from Throal to Kratas as it made it's way through a valley in the Tylon mountains.

Architecture

Korstull from the outside resembles the skull and arm of a great fallen giant with a sword plunged through it's head. Legend says that that is indeed what the castle is, but no-one today knows the truth.
