Into Parlainth

Haven
The party arrive at the small adventurers town of Haven just after midday on the 20th of Borrum, the guards at the gate warn them of the town rules and that most infractions are punished by death, chatting briefly with the guards they are told that the best inn in town is Loak's Legacy, if they are looking for someone they should inquire at the Bounty hunters guild at Sergal's common house and information on Parlainth can be found at Vardeghul's Lore Exchange. Inside the town the party decide to split up with Ragnaros and Giltris heading to Sergal's and Astra and Hauflin heading to Vardeghuls, they make plans to meet up later at Loak's Legacy. At Sergal's common house Ragnaros and Giltris talk to Sergal, an older orc, he convinces them that if they are to be hunting someone down they really should get themselves bounty hunting licences. The two of them buy licences for the whole party, put a 50gp bounty on Leldrin and chat about the state of the city with the locals before heading to Loak's Legacy to meet up with the others. At Vardeghul's lore exchange Astra is soon engrossed in books on the known history of Parlainth and doesn't notice when Hauflin gets board and goes exploring. Eventually Astra realises time is getting on and heads to Loak's Legacy. Meeting at the Inn the party set about sharing their discovery's and making plans as to what to do next, chatting to the barman they arrange lodging for the night and also ask if he has seen Leldrin, He did in-fact see someone like that a couple of weeks ago in the company of an elf named Narciso, sometimes known as Narciso the nimble, He thinks they may find out at the forward camp set up in Parlainth's old market square. The evening still being young the party decide to head over to the fighting pits for some entertainment, while the others are watching a wrestling match between an orc and a dwarf, Hauflin sneaks over to the animal cages and decides to release them, the most notable of the animals being released are a pack of dire wolves and a huge spider. The rest of the party soon work out what must have happened and sneak back to the tavern in the confusion. The next morning at breakfast Hauflin is introduced to coffee and the party make plans to head into Parlainth.Parlainth
The party make their way into Parlainth, heading through the south gate they find a city of ruins and a strange quite. Hauflin zips off among the ruins and the rest of the party decide to follow him thinking he might know where he's going, he leads them on a merry chase across the ruined city finding a mechanical spider and some gold. Realising Hauflin doesn't have a clue where to go the party decide to head for the forward camp at the old market square. They stop as they hear some noise and sneak forward to see what it is, it turns out to be a swarm of rats who Hauflin decides to talk to them and eventually disappears riding a swarm of rats. Unable to track him in the ruins the rest of the party decide to continue on to their original destination. Further up the road the party come across Hauflin being menaced by a group of harpy's, the rats having run off at the sight of predators, Ragnaros attempts to convince the Harpy's that they are diseased and would make a poor meal, the Harpies are unconvinced and thinking fast Astra temporarily blinds the Harpy's and the party flee finding a house to hide in. Astra remembering information on harpies frantically starts searching for rags to tear up to make earplugs, they put in the earplugs just in time as the harpies settle in around the house and start singing. Several hours later the harpys get board and leave, leaving the message "Later" scratched into a wall. The party make it to the forward camp just as the gates are being closed, once inside they find out that Narciso was last seen being dragged off by Hobgoblins towards Castle Triskelion, they are told that the gatekeeper of the castle, old Armand will always tell the truth but is not to be trusted. The party play some cards with other adventurers in the camp with Giltris winning a tidy sum of gold. That night they are awakened by the alarm bell, the camp gates are under attack by zombies, while the guards are defending the gate the party are attacked by the harpies who have returned. The fight with the harpies doesn't take too long, Ragnaros manages to scare off two of them despite falling off a watch tower and hurting himself and Hauflin fries several with lighting strikes.Rewards Granted
