Animaesus and Tarrasques: Session 26.2: New Faces, Same Salts
General Summary
Flashback scene needed: Ssech and Mel traveling back to the city, they have two nights and days to discuss with Kharigg, and dwarf jourvian captain, whom they captain from his squadron. The hide the dwarf out in the city: DC 20 to find, escape, and Mel stays with him.
In the city, Ssech scouts through, and finds it in full out, nearly martial law. Pio of the 10th House has armed the city to be ready for war, but most are taking it as means to hunt and protect themselves from what remains of the 12th House. It is deestabilized, the 12th House, but the Matron Mother still holds true to it, and the drow still manipulate from the shadows. Furthermore, since most dwarves of the City of Salt worked for the 12th House, they search for the bearded folk, and thus, Ssech will have a hard to getting the dwarf through without magical aid.
Meanwhile, Cotton arranges purchases of new real estate after working with Hantellmann to monetize a new spring that has sprung below the city sewers, from the eruption of Ka'sh through the city but a few days before.
Garulvd, Thelas, and Ferrum, run into Ssech on the streets, seeing each other from across a few dozen meters. Ferrum, the large walking suit of armor, sticks out keenly, as well as his ward, the small, one-eared high elf (not known to be common at all), and the dwarf who looks like the Kharigg he imprisoned outside the city--Ssech has only enough time to process this oddity, before Pio and Sqarmy's Tavern beckons his attention.
Garulvd, Thelas, and Ferrum, go the 11th House to see Orcafor, but the he is not there, and they wait a bit before heading to the local watering-den, the Black-stone Well, owned by the 10th House.
Ssech and Pio, meanwhile, arrange for his attendance at a meeting later this evening with a few other Binder-Lords.
Cotton returns to her newfound watering hole, and she finds drow trying to investigate its use. She takes action and fires upon them, and with Hantelmman, a chase begins. However, the cynas is soon overwhelmed, and he dies by a drow blade as Cotton gets away on the rooftops. Cotton fires a few shots, beforehand, but only ensuring vengeance from the drow.
They all now have been informed of a need to join a group for the binder lords, a few that is, to establish more order amongst the City of Salt.
