The Melelemental, The 5 Houses' Assassins: Animaesus and Tarraques: Session 28
General Summary
Rewind, to the 4th of Fall Feather, and the Fall of the 12th House, where Eros, Stryke, his kids (Rhogar, Althea, Leandra, and Donovan), with Birdman, Roxana and Shallowbutter--they say their goodbyes to Mel and Ssech, returning with a dwarven prisoner at the request of the 10th House Lord, Pio. They are bitter-sweet, but there is relief from Ssech and Mel to find a new order, and new means.
We fast forward two days, after Mel has watched a dwarven prisoner of the Jourvian lords who attacked them on the road two days prior. Ssech went before to test the climate of the city and the easiest route to get this prisoner in the city amongst all the chaos still being cleaned up, caused by Eros and their escape, but also by the civil war between most other houses and the 12th House. They think delivering to the 9th House makes the most sense. They set out, and split ways, Ssech returning to the 10th House for what happened in the previous two sessions, and Mel going to the 9th House to check in with her Binder Lord.
This lined up with the time the rest of the group spent last session, so Mel quickly joined her Binder-Lord Xantha of the 9th House. He is on his way to the moot with Pio and the others, and he has his associates take the dwarf into custody from Mel. She joins Xantha on the way tot he moot, in the Blackwell Tavern, the library of secrets to the City of Salt.
ONce there, Mel finds Ssech with Pio, and Garulvd with Thelas and Ferrum, as well as the lords from the 8th, 11th, and 5th House. However, before the moot can begin, Mel finds Pio on the floor drunk, and she awakens him with Lesser Restoration to help begin this important meeting. He tries, but it takes a few attempts before he establishes a line of communication that makes sense. He claims there is an opportunity to reestablish order amongst the city, and to get the 12th House in a new light. They will send a small group of assassins to get past the drow lines, into the tunnels (Mel and Ssech already know how), and they will take the word of power from the 12th House and give it to a new owner. Each house agrees in the own manner. Mel and Xantha talk through spells, promising rewards.
During this time, Thelas shows his skills, and an ale elemental in the form of Mel is formed, and this creates a bit of chaos as other champions from these five houses are chosen.
The rest of the evening is spent quietly: Garulvd gets some potions and later talks to Orcafor about a strange Infernal Puzzle Box. Beforehand, Orcafor talked with Thelas, telling him and Ferrum to ensure the word of the 12th House remains in control of the 11th House.
