General Physical Condition

He is in decent health, save a tendency to run out of energy quickly due to his extra weight. He is much more agile and quick than it might seem from looking at him.

Body Features

He has pale skin with a slight sheen to it. His body is stout, his stomach somewhat extended from years of indulgence in wine and sweet treats.

Facial Features

Pale skin with a slightly oily cast to it. A few pockmarks dot his face here and there, and his chin is slightly cleft. Above his temples and slightly behind them are small nubs of what look like the beginnings of horns.

Personal history

Duke Raska was born the third son of the late King Darvid's parents, and therefore unlikely to inherit the throne. He always stood in the shadow of his eldest brother, who had all the markings of a true king.
Raska was frequently ignored and left to his own devices, left out of state affairs and often celebrations as well. While he acted as if this didn't bother him, it helped to build up resentment in him and kindled a deep desire in him to gain power and make a name for himself
When his second eldest brother died, putting him second in line for the throne, his desire grew all the more. He found himself occasionally hoping for an accident to befall his older brother, but such was not to happen. He found reason to be elsewhere on the day his brother was married, and then he began to lose all hope when his brother's wife gave birth to a girl a little over a year later.
Raska's life has been filled with disappointment and lost opportunities, and so he decided, upon the ascendance of his niece to the throne, that he would take a different approach. He began to treat Jahrain with the utmost respect, being the first to offer his services when needed. This gained him the title of Duke of Severan and the land to go with it, helping to fuel his ambition and hopes for even greater rewards.

Motivation

He is very ambitious, and his greatest goal is to ascend higher into the ranks of Haberonian royalty. He hopes to gain land closer to the capital, and perhaps be allowed to reside in a manor in Oxferi eventually and have the ear of the queen.

Likes & Dislikes

Above all else, he dislikes the Scatterbell family, second favored family of the queen. He also detests being dirty or being around people who are.
He very much likes nice things and wants only the best he can get. Any horses in his stable must be of the best breeding stock, or be exceptional in some other way, and all of his possessions must be top of the line.

Vices & Personality flaws

He enjoys sweet foods a bit too much, as is indicated in his excess weight. He also enjoys occasionally watching others get put in their place.

Personality Quirks

He has a tendency to speak under his breath and has to concentrate sometimes not to do that at times that could easily be disadvantageous, or even dangerous.

Hygiene

He prefers to be clean, bathing at least every other day. If any clothing he wears should be soiled even the slightest bit, he insists on changing as soon as possible. He has been known to be quickly angered if someone gets any dirt on him.
