Gambler's Cant
After being forced underground, the temple of Lathair required a way for its people to communicate in public without suspicion. Since so many words and phrases used in the art of gambling are common enough, it seemed to be a natural course of action to use these to create a secret form of communication for the followers and their associates. As new games are invented, new terms are added to the ever-evolving code, and, unsurprisingly, there are frequent competitions to come up with new codes and meanings.

Geographical Distribution
The Cant is used throughout the world, in any cultures and races in which worshipers of Lathair can be found. While there are some variations, or "dialects" depending on the culture and what games might be played, there are enough similarities that any cleric or others involved with the temple can easily translate the code as is needed.
Phonology
Gambler's Cant is not a language unto itself, but instead uses both words, phrases, symbols, and gestures common to the various forms of gambling.
Vocabulary
The vocabulary is centered around the terminology used in both common and uncommon games of chance. For example, terms such as "pip," "ace," and "ante" are incorporated into conversations so that messages can be passed on to those familiar with the Cant without suspicion from anyone who might be listening.
