Mithrilsoul
The dwarves, and especially those from Mithrilsoul, are invaluable allies against the forces of darkness. Without their tireless creation of magical weapons and armor, along with other quite useful items, the factions of good would not have nearly the power to fight against the fiends as they do.
The city itself is a marvel of practical architecture and ingenious mechanisms of defense. Time and again, fiends and their minions have attempted to lay siege to this city, only to meet with defeat. They have long since given up on such blatant attacks, although I fear that they will at some point find a less direct way to fight against the worthy dwarves. I can only hope that these dear people are up to attacks of a more subtle nature.

Demographics
Nearly one hundred percent of the permanent population of Mithrilsoul is dwarven. A few other races can be found scattered about as well, including a family of halflings that was taken in by the dwarves after they were found in, and subsequently rescued from, the clutches of a band of slave traders.
Government
The residence of the dwarven royal family, the Hammersteels, is located in this city. While the king leaves the day to day duties of the city itself to the mayor, the family will occasionally be pulled into one situation or another. The laws here are few, because the nature of the dwarves makes the requirement for more unnecessary. Each member of the community feels a strong commitment to making sure that things are done right, and are more than willing to take anyone who strays from this are taken to task.
Defences
Mithrilsoul is built in a huge cavern in the Dragonheart Mountains, taking advantage of the many natural defenses that exist there. Many dwellings are built into the wall of the cavern itself, making them easier to defend. Walls surround the city where practical, with huge steel gates at the main entrance to the city. Where walls prove to be impractical, there are always dwarven guards placed near tunnels from which others might enter, and there are mechanisms in place to collapse the tunnels should it prove necessary.
Industry & Trade
Unsurprisingly, the main industry of the dwarven city is that of weapons and armor. The close proximity of The Tempered Lake provides the means to make many of these items magical and extremely durable. They have become renowned throughout Bastarre for their superior metalworking skills as well as the unsurpassable magical enchantments the lake provides their wares. The dwarves are ready to distribute these items to their allies as a means to help in the battle against the fiendish hordes, and many a devil has found itself facing the bite of a dwarven blade.
