As the bolt travels towards the enemy, it shifts between Fire, Cold, Lightning, Poison and Acid damage. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a successful hit, this bolt deals 3d4 damage. The damage dealt will be whichever of the previous damage types would deal the most damage to the target after tracking immunities, resistances and vulnerabilities. The caster of this spell always knows what type of damage it deals. If 2 or more damage types would deal the same amount of damage, the type is determined randomly between those. Spell Lists.
