Icy Chains

1st-level Conjuration   Casting Time: 1 action   Range: 60 feet   Components: V   Duration: Up to 1 minute, concentration.   You attempt to ensnare a creature you can see with icy chains. The creature must make a Strength saving throw or be restrained by the ice. A Large or larger creature has advantage on this saving throw. While restrained by this spell, the creature takes 1d8 cold damage at the start of each of its turns.   A creature restrained by the ice or one that can touch the creature can use its action to make a Strength check to break the chains. If the check meets or exceeds your spell save DC, the spell ends.   At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot above 2nd.   Spell Lists.
