You create 3 rings of crackling lighting that surround your enemies, laying in wait should they move. Choose up to 3 creatures you can see within range, and distribute the rings created by this spell however you choose.
While concentrating on this spell, the next time a creature targeted leaves the square they are in by any means, they must succeed on a Constitution saving throw for every ring wrapped around them. On a failed save, the target takes 3d6 lightning damage, or half as much on a successful save.
Once all rings created by this spell have been triggered, the spell ends.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a slot of 5th level or higher, the spell creates additional rings. This spell creates 4 rings at level 5, 5 rings at level 7, and 6 rings at level 9.
