Qualifications

The strength behind a member of the board is how much money they have to fund their position. The top 10 highest donations get the seats and they need to donate every 2 years. Generally 5-6 positions change every year with 4 members staying on the board every year.

Requirements

Have Gimsolvian citizenship and a trading organization or suficcent collateral.

Appointment

Head of treasury tallies up the donations and assign the seats, they can be refused but rarely are.

Responsibilities

Oversee laws and foreign affairs. They tend to assign most of their task to trusted members of their organizations as the task list is quite daunting. Popular vote decides changes nation wide but the responsibilites are split up amongst 10 different districts in the nation. Highest donor gets to pick which zone first.

Benefits

Having control of the laws in a nation gives a large benefit to trade as they can indirectly sabotage their competitors.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

If found breaking a law or arrested, a board member can be removed.

History

The board started out as 3 people, but with the growth of Gimsolvia the amount of Empire Assignees needed grew as well.
