Battlecast Champion
The title of Battlecast Champion is bestowed upon those who become the champions of the Battlecast League they are registered for. As Battlecast is a world renowned sport, the champion is not only entitled to a large financial reward, but they are also awarded the prestige and influence as a celebrity would. As such, many champions after they win go on to do many things with their lives, such as break out into acting, receiving corporate sponsorships, and adopting ambassadorial roles for not only their leagues, but even their home nations. As such, any aspiring battlecaster strives to become champion.
Privileges
Along with the financial and honorific awards given to champions, becoming a champion has numerous benefits, including, but not limited to:- The privilege to participate in the Champions' League, where champions from all over the world compete for the title of World Champion.
- Lucrative sponsorship contracts beyond what are given to lower league battlecasters.
- Speaking opportunities coordinated through the World Casting League.
- An invitation into the United Terrina Coalition's Peacekeepers.
- VIP access to different events.
- Connections into different industries, such as acting, music, sportcasting, entrepreneuership, and politics.
Controversies
While the title of Champion is honored throughout Terrina, they are not without oversight, and champions can have their title revoked if a huge controversy is sparked. A good example of this is the former 189 Santandean champion, Lyle Kapper, who had his champion title revoked after an ex-girlfriend accused him of using illegal casts in the tournament he won his title from. While the accusation never yielded any results, the damage to his career was irreparable, and he had the title revoked the next year.
