Many of the Conian island's inhabitants can trace their heritage to the original settlers who came to the island almost two thousand years prior to Chirani's Landing. The original settlers are thought to be escaped slaves from the city of Yazard, hence why they used it to keep track of time for centuries before adopting the Imperial Calendar. There were some natives that were already living there, particularly in Psaracon and Albanicon, but were gradually absorbed into the new 'Conian' society. 'Conian' itself is a rough Yarzarden translation to "Kneelers", denoting their prior status as slaves.

The founding of the Trinistine Empire also became the founding of the new Imperial Calendar, which was quickly adopted by most other people surrounding the Empire. The Psarconians and other surrounding realms of the Trinistine Empire all refer to this time period as the 'Imperial Age,' as the Trinistines commanded significant influence across the Mainland and Psaracon. There is almost unanimous consensus among scholars across the lands that the Imperial Age is still ongoing, although there is disagreement as to how much longer it will last. This disagreement is why some scholars have begun to denote the Great Migration as the start of a new Age in the chronicles.

Population Migration / TravelThe years following Chirani's Landing kickstarted a massive movement of around one million Mainlander tribes to the Conian Isles in search of safety and glory. The Mainlanders were caught between the advancing Channites, and the stalwart Trinistines, who refused to give the tribesmen refuge. To make matters worse, in the Winter of 524, the Mainlander tribes became even more desperate, and they began the journey to the Conian Isles, mainly to Psaracon, en masse.
