When the affairs of Demons intrude upon the affairs of the Real World, the Demon Hunter's Society is likely to get involved.
While the name indicates they hunt demons, the society both works with and against certain demons. Demons that sow chaos and attempt to make a play for power are dealt with, and the ones that live symbiotically are their greatest allies.
The exact origins of the order are a mystery, as very little information of their existence escapes their walls. All that is known is that their presence is global, and their numbers are generally small per geographical area.
